The Senior Center of Rocky Mount hosted veterans from all over Nash County on Thursday, November 9th for a Veterans Day Breakfast.
The event included a flag raising performed by the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) organization and a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony performed by Rocky Mount High School Junior ROTC cadets Shajorne Deans, Ke'Maya Alston, and Parker Redlinger.
This solemn ceremony is in honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action until they return.

Tuesday, November 21, at Fairview Elementary School 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
If your child is a rising 10th through 13th grader, meaning they are currently in high school, you can choose for them to stay with NCPS for the same school year.
Tuesday's event will be in-person and virtual, where you'll learn more about the process and the next steps.

"A Fallen Knight - Remembering Jaylin Cornelius Silver"

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Northern Nash High School student Jaylin Cornelius Silver, affectionately known as "Juicy" by his teammates and coaches. Jaylin, a beloved Northern Nash High School student and student-athlete, left us on November 13, 2023.
