Mrs. Billups, Media Coordinator, and Mr. Kelley, ELA Teacher at G.R. Edwards Middle School, collaborated to organize an engaging Crime Scene Investigation. The activity began with students assembling in the library for their class. When Mrs. Billups burst in (in character!), she kicked off the role-playing activity, revealing that someone had fallen down the stairs – but it was no accident!
During this interactive session, students interviewed at least 10 other students, honing their questioning and active listening skills while making inferences and connections. Upon forming their conclusions, students would bring their findings to Mrs. Billups and Mr. Kelley to verify their correctness.
