Governor Roy Cooper visits Nashville Elementary on Tuesday, January 23rd to declare 2024 as “The Year of Public Schools.”
Speeches were made by Dr. Steven Ellis, Superintendent of NCPS, Joanna Hale, NCHS teacher and NCPS Teacher of the Year, and Elijah Rogers, a 5th grader at Nashville Elementary, who introduced Governor Cooper.
Governor Cooper visited Kenan Mills 5th grade Math Class; Sylvia Hauter and Shantale Paugh Kindergarten Rooms; and finished his tour checking out Leslie Taylor's STEM class working on Robotics/ZSpace Computers.
