Nam Knights boost Bailey Elementary
BAILEY — The Nam Knights of America Coastal Plain Chapter recently donated $700 to Bailey Elementary school to help support its students.
“We are grateful to receive the generous donation from the Nam Knights Coastal Plain Chapter. It warms our hearts to see the community coming together to support Bailey Elementary,” Principal Allen Wilson said.
He said the donation will benefit students and the Bailey Elementary community.
“With these funds, we will enhance our backpack buddy food resources and provide support to our student needs. It will positively impact the learning experiences of all our students, benefiting teachers and the engagement process,” Wilson said.
The Backpack Buddy Food Fund supplies food for students and families in need, NCPS spokesperson Heather Finch said.
“The school counselor oversees the management of the food supply, replenishing it as required. Students have the opportunity to visit and collect snacks and nonperishable meals to fill their book bags,” Finch said.
The Nam Knights is a motorcycle club that strives to honor the memories of American veterans and police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, assist veterans and police officers in their time of need and promote community awareness through sponsorship and participation in fundraisers, according to its website.
Residents can donate to the school’s fundraisers, volunteer or donate to specific programs they are passionate about.
“Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and helps us provide the best possible education for our students,” Wilson said.
