FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Ward and White move to Central Office, Paving the way for Educational Excellence and Safety

Nashville, N.C. - Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) proudly announces the appointment of two educators, Victor Ward, and Jeff White, to leadership roles in the central office. Ward and White, both former principals with a wealth of experience, demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities that will drive positive change and elevate educational standards throughout the district.

Victor Ward Appointed as Transition and Safety Director for Student Support Services and Operations

Victor Ward, former principal of Nash Central High School, assumes the role of Transition and Safety Director for Student Support Services and Operations. Ward recognizes the values of patience, being a good listener, and staying open to ideas. He emphasizes the importance of maintaining a safety-focused mindset and ensuring the well-being of students, parents, and staff. "Safety is job one," Ward shares, echoing the motto of Ford Motor Company.

In this new role, Ward will be responsible for managing the transition process of the demerger between NCPS and ECPS. He anticipates encountering some challenges, mainly because there is no predefined blueprint for the demerger. Nevertheless, he is committed to executing the transition plan with integrity and prioritizing the students' best interests. Throughout this process, he emphasizes awareness, conducting due diligence, and maintaining clear communication.

Collaboration will be key to Ward's approach as he plans to work closely with other central office administrators and stakeholders.

Jeff White Assumes Role as Executive Director of Secondary Schools, Academics, and Accountability

Jeff White, former principal of Northern Nash High School, assumes the position of Executive Director of Secondary Schools, overseeing Academics and Accountability. His approach aims to ensure grade-level proficiency in all subjects for every student in NCPS, fostering continuous growth year after year until all students achieve their full potential.

As a data-driven decision-maker, White's leadership will empower principals across the district to analyze essential data, making informed choices that cater to each student's unique needs. With over two decades of experience working with students, White's commitment to supporting building-level administrators will be a driving force in cultivating an environment of academic excellence.

"I believe the best use of my judgment, interpersonal relation skills, and problem-solving abilities will be essential in my new role," said White. "Collaborating closely with school principals and administrators to ensure their goals are met is a key component of my position."

A Shared Vision for Student Success

Ward and White share an unshakable commitment to driving positive change and improving educational outcomes for all students at NCPS. As they assume their new roles, their leadership will guide the district toward the pinnacle of academic excellence and foster an inclusive educational ecosystem.
