How to Apply for Pre-K

We are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.

If you have a child who will be 4 years old by August 31st of the enrollment year, consider applying for our program!
We welcome families of children of all abilities to apply.

How to complete an application for NCPK?

Step 1:  Click the preschool application button below to access the fillable application if you are prepared to begin the process. Applications are also available for pickup at the NCPS Central Office, Preschool Department (Williford Early Learning Center), Down East Partnership, or any NCPS Elementary School.

Step 2: Completed applications, along with the supporting documents, can be submitted to:

  • Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) Williford Early Learning Center at 801 Williford Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27803

  • Any NCPS Elementary School

Supporting Documents that are required to complete NCPK Application:

  • Certified Birth Certificate (copy)

  • Two (2) proof of physical address

  • Parent’s income verification for one current month

  • Proof of guardianship, if applicable

  • Parent/Guardian photo identification

*Proof of physical address: 1) current utility bill (gas, water, lights only) dated within the last thirty (30) days
2) Copy of deed, lease agreement, mortgage, or property tax. A driver’s license can also serve as proof of
residency.
