Good afternoon, parents/guardians of students who ride bus 82. Bus 82 will have a sub-bus this afternoon and the rest of the week. The sub-bus is bus 350.

Good morning! The Candy Man Main event is taking place this morning and those students are having a great time! The items from our fundraiser are also here. We will be sending those items home with your child today. If you know your child sold too many items to take on the bus, please contact the school and we will be glad to make other arrangements for you to pick up the items. Students who earned the Gaming Truck time will receive this reward at another time. We had so many to reach this goal, we wanted to make sure enough time was given to each student and that they were not missing any other rewards they earned. The ECPS and NCPS Demerger/Transition Plan Team convened on Monday, October 16, for a joint meeting. They delivered presentations to the Nash County Public Schools Board of Education, Nash County Board of Commissioners, Edgecombe County Public Schools Board of Education, and Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners during the meeting. The submission of the transition plan to the state is scheduled for November 15.

Good afternoon Cougar families! This message contains important information for the week of October 23rd. First, I would like to thank you for contributing to our United Way campaign. The school raised $3,353. The homeroom class that contributed the highest amount was Mrs. Barreto's class. They contributed $291.39 and will receive an ice cream sundae party this week. Thank you again for supporting our United Way campaign. This week is Red Ribbon Week. Each day has a theme for students and staff to show support of being drug free. The themes for the week are: Monday - We are proud to be drug free! Wear Red, White, and Blue. Tuesday - Be drug free and follow your dreams! Wear your pajamas to school. Wednesday - My future is bright because I'm drug free! Wear your sunglasses and neon. Thursday - Reach for the stars and be drug free! Career Day dress up. Friday - I am too smart to start! Wear your favorite college shirt. We are looking forward to seeing students and staff participate in these days. Follow our Facebook page for pictures. Monday, October 30th, report cards will be posted in PowerSchools. The report cards will not be printed and sent home with students. You will need to be connected to PowerSchool in order to view your child's report card. If you are not connect to PowerSchool, please come to the school with a valid ID to get the information you need to sign-up. I would like to address the carline. You guys have done a great job of waiting in a double line for the carline to start. As you move forward, please make sure you stay in a double line. Mrs. Yebra does a great job of alternating cars for dismissal. The only time you should be in a single line is when you have pulled up to the cone for your child to enter your car. Also, as a reminder, please do not go around cars in the drop off and pick-up area. If we need you to go around, someone will direct you. Otherwise, be patient as students load. It is not safe for cars to go around as some of the students load on the driver side. It's going to be another amazing week at Middlesex Elementary and we can't wait to see you all Monday dressed in red, white and blue!
