Hola! I am Ms. Forero, the 2nd-grade DL teacher and I'm from Colombia. I'm a graduate of Javeriana University with a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages and a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have been in the teaching profession for more than 10 years. I enjoy traveling, dancing and sharing my culture.

A Little about Mrs. Holley... This is my fourth year teaching at Middlesex Elementary. My goal as a teacher is to inspire children to develop a love for learning through engaging, fun, and hands-on lessons. In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my family. I live in Rocky Mount with my husband, four kids, and two dogs named Cosmo and Daisy. Teaching is a passion and a calling that I embrace wholeheartedly each and every day!

This is my fourth year teaching at MES. As an educator, I believe that we are given a difficult job and everyday that job seems to become a little harder or challenging. I believe that it is a part of my responsibility as an educator to provide a capable student, both academically and socially, despite the difficult situations that many students seem to face. I effectively teach my students by offering a flexible classroom and exhibit student centered teaching throughout the day. Student-Centered teaching will encourage the students to construct their own learning and become more engaged and on task throughout the day.
