Good evening Nashville Cardinals, These are a few announcements for the week. Tomorrow our staff and students will complete a Lock Down drill to ensure we are prepared for emergency situations. Our third grade students will be administered the Beginning of Grade assessment on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Thursday, September 12, 2024 is our Fall Picture Day, all students have received Lifetouch picture forms with information for purchasing picture packets. Parents of kindergarten students please be reminded that physicals and immunizations are due. If these items are not received by September 25, 2024, students will be excluded from school until the required forms are returned to school. Letters have been provided to kindergarten parents with resources and contact information for physical and immunization appointment options. As a reminder, Monday, September 9, 2024 all NCPS Elementary schools will be introducing a new safety measure and we wanted to keep you informed. Each week, 10% of our students will be randomly selected to walk through a metal detector or be wanded by a trained staff member. This will include students who ride the bus, van riders, car riders, and/or walkers. Rest assured, our team will handle this with the utmost care and respect for every student, and we'll be monitoring the results to make sure everything runs smoothly. Lastly as a reminder, to our morning carline parents, please come in on Green Street, turn left on Joyner Street, turn right on Lucille, and turn right on Collins to enter our carline. This is the correct flow of traffic that everyone should follow. This will help to ensure we are able to move traffic as quickly as possible. If you have questions or concerns regarding this information please don't hesitate to contact the school. Thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and support as we work together to keep our school safe. Have a great evening.
