Due to inclement weather, all traditional Nash County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, February 21, 2025. Staff should follow telework procedures.
All Innovative Schools, CITI High School and Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School, will operate on a remote learning schedule.
Additionally, all evening activities, including after-school care and athletics, have been canceled.

Please note NCPS students will have Remote Instruction Wednesday and Thursday. Our teachers will communicate through rooms. Students in grades K, 1st, and 2nd have been provided learning packs with a letter indicating expectations for remote learning activities. Students in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th will have live instruction via google meet and will complete assignments in google classroom. Devices will be sent home today with all students in grades 3rd, 4th, & 5th. The time for live instruction and the links for each grade will be shared in rooms and google classroom.
Our teachers will also share their office hours in rooms when they will be available to assist parents or students.

The North Carolina Oral Health Section will conduct dental screenings for children in Kindergarten at Nashville Elementary on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. See the attached letter for more information.

We are selling fun dip packets with a special note for $1.00 each. Your student can send them to students and staff here. The candy grams will be distributed next Thursday. Please look for the forms in your student's belongings this evening.

NES recently held the 2nd Nine Weeks PBIS Celebration, kudos to our events committee for planning an amazing event. The Northern Nash Basketball Team Showcase was exciting for our students. They were able to see one of the best teams in the area and the #2 player of the Class of 2027 in the Nation showcase their talents in a 3pt Contest, Dunk Contest, and Black vs White Scrimmage game. Several of the players and Coach Drake spoke to our students about the importance of academics, having good character, and adhering to the PBIS expectations of Being respectful and responsible. Thanks Northern Nash Athletics program for supporting our school event!!!

A few reminders:
K-2 - 6:00 - 7:30 and grades 3-5 7:30 - 9:00 P.M.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $12.
K-2 Must have a Chaperone and 3-5 is a drop off only.
This is a student event only, no siblings or friends who do not attend NES will be permitted into the dance.
This is a cash only event! We will also be selling extra concessions and framed photos to be distributed after the event.

Thursday, January 23, 2025 will be a Remote Learning Day for all of Nash County Public Schools (NCPS). Remote learning assignments may be accessed through Canvas, Google Classroom or other communication from your child’s teachers or principal. Office hours will also be offered by teachers if permissible. Please look for detailed information in Rooms and/or your student’s learning management system.
NCPS has procedures in place to ensure students are not negatively affected if they are unable to complete tasks due to a lack of technology, power, or other challenges. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher(s).
Friday, January 24, 2025: All NCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay due to the potential for icy road conditions. Breakfast will be available at schools. Students may be dropped off 40 minutes prior to the start of their school day. Essential personnel should report at their regular time, provided it is safe to do so.
