This is Mike Girouard, Principal with some announcements for the week.
Fall pictures will be Friday 10/27...all students will receive information on Monday. Student must wear uniforms for the fall pictures as these are the photos used for the yearbook. Students may dress down for the Spring pictures.
I want to commend our students and staff in their support of the United Way fundraising campaign this year. Collectively, Red Oak Middle raised over $6,000 to support our local United Way and all of projects. This is a true win for our community and demonstrates service-minded leadership which we all strive for.
In athletics:
The volleyball team finished in 1st place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will host the semi-finals of the conference championship this Wednesday. They will be playing Elm City starting at 4:00... Hilliard is on the gate.
The soccer team finished in 1st place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will host the semi-finals of the conference championship this Wednesday. They will be playing Springfield starting at 4:00... Poythress is on the gate.
The football team finished in 2nd place in the north division of the Tri-Counties Conference and will be playing in the Sugar bowl at Springfield on Thursday starting at 4:00.
The girls tennis team won the Tri-Counties Conference Championship with a record of 5-2.

NCPS Career & Technical Education department invites you to join us for an evening of exploration, learning, and networking. Please join us at Nash Central High tomorrow night for 5-7pm. Local businesses will be available and food trucks will be open for all. Make plans to attend! We want Red Oak represented well!

Thursday is an early release day. Students will be released at 1:30.

This week Nash County Public Schools is holding its annual United Way week of Giving. All staff and students are invited to contribute. For students, a $5 donation will allow you to be uniform-free for the entire week. Appropriate dress is required. Again, any student that donates $5 will get to be uniform-free all of this week.
