Good evening Red Oak Family! Here are a few announcements for the week. We will have a Spirit Week this week...Here are the themes for each day: Monday - Ugly Christmas Sweater Tuesday - Christmas Hats and Socks Wednesday - Christmas pajamas Thursday - Red Oak Spirit (6th Grade wear Orange, 7th Grade wear White, 8th wear Blue) Friday - Holiday Spirit - Wear as much Red, and Green as possible In athletics: Basketball will have home games vs. Southern Nash on Monday and Nash Central on Thursday. Wrestling will travel to Southern on Monday and to Nash Central on Thursday. During the morning car line our Students are partnering with the Salvation Army by ringing the bell to collect donations for our community. Please consider donating to this excellent cause. Also, we are still accepting canned food, socks, and coats through Thursday! We hope everyone has an excellent week and takes time to rest and enjoy the winter break!

Good evening Red Oak Family! This is Mike Girouard, Principal, with a few announcements. In athletics, our basketball team will play at Patillo Monday and home vs. Phillips on Thursday. Wrestling has a home match vs. Patillo Monday and will be at Parker on Thursday. We will continue our Food and Clothing Drive through December 18th. Please consider donating. We would like to have socks, blankets, and coats to donate along with canned and non-perishable food items. Thank you in advance for your support! A reminder that there should be no outside food brought in to the school. Please finish it before arriving in the morning. Also, early checkouts are a major concern. The school day is from 8:30-3:30. Good evening Red Oak Families! This week students will only be in school Monday and Tuesday. We hope everyone has a chance to rest and enjoy family and friends over the holiday weekend. All students are encouraged to wear Blue Shirts tomorrow to support Diabetes Awareness. Please continue to support our canned food drive. Thank you and have an excellent week!

Good evening, Red Oak Middle School thanks you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. Nash County Public Schools values input from our community – and we need to hear from your child or children! Students are important partners as we work to improve our communication, academic program and overall experience for everyone through our district strategic plan. In order to learn more about student experiences at school, we will be asking for your child’s feedback via an online survey they will be completing at school between December 2 - 13th. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. We are asking that all of our students in grades 4 and up participate in the surveys, as their feedback will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt to better meet their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. We are not using student names so surveys will be anonymous. We are partnering with a third-party vendor to support us in administering these surveys. The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on School Climate, Teacher-Student Relationships, School Safety, and expectations. Surveys are available for preview on the district’s website. (LINK TO QUESTIONS) Please notify us if you would like your child to opt out of taking the surveys by contacting the school at (252)462-2000 no later than November 25. Please join the Red Oak Middle School ACE Club as they work to collect canned and other non-perishable food items to donate in and around our community this holiday season. We will be accepting donations from November 18th - December 18th. Thank you in advance for supporting this service project.
