Tune into Spectrum News on Friday, March 1, 2024 - in a detailed interview, Jeannie Kerr, Project AWARE director at Nash County Public Schools (NCPS), shared insights into the district's efforts to enhance student safety and mental well-being. With new safety legislation effective March 1, Nash County Public Schools has updated its protocols accordingly.
Nash County Public Schools, distinguished as one of six districts in North Carolina to receive the Project AWARE grant, exemplifies commitment to creating a secure educational setting. This grant, provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and managed through the Department of Public Instruction, highlights the district's proactive approach to student safety.

We are pleased to announce that this year we will be hosting a May Ball/Spring Formal for our students at Red Oak Middle. This event will be a collaborative effort between the school and our Parent Teacher Organization. This event will take a good amount of planning and we invite you to the first of several Parent input meetings on Tuesday February 20th at 6pm in our school Media Center. We hope to see you there!
