Good Evening Bear Family - Just a reminder that this week is a short week. Students only come to school on Monday and Tuesday. Our Thanksgiving Break is Wednesday through Friday of this week. Students will have an opportunity to participate in Holiday Spirit Days for the month of December., if you choose to participate. We are attaching the days to this platform. Mark your calendars! Book Fair is headed our way December 16-20. See the attached flyer for details on shopping with your student. The schedule on the flyer list the day of the week, the time and the homeroom teacher. You can use that schedule to shop with your student during their scheduled media time.

If you feel you need to come by feel free to look through the lost and found by the front office. We plan to take off items and donate those that are left December 20th.

Good afternoon, Englewood Car Line drivers! As a courtesy to your neighbors who live near the school, please don't block driveways as you are waiting in the car line. This would allow residents to drive in and out of their yards and avoid collisions. Thank you so much for your consideration in this matter!

Good Evening Bear Family - Last week, our Kindergarten and First Graders went on field trips. Our 1st and 2nd graders had a Native American Storyteller come last week as well. We have Cheerleading Tryouts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week for Boys and Girls in Grades 3rd - 5th. This week, our Grades 3-5 students will have a Native American Heritage Program on Wednesday. Just a reminder that all Music Car Wash Fundraiser packets will be due on Thursday, November 21st. November 15, 2024 Good Evening Bear Family! Englewood Elementary thanks you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate the children in our district. Nash County Public Schools values input from our community – and we need to hear from your child or children! Students are important partners as we work to improve our communication, academic program and overall experience for everyone through our district strategic plan. In order to learn more about student experiences at school, we will be asking for your child’s feedback via an online survey they will be completing at school between December 2 - 13th. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. We are asking that all of our students in grades 4 and up participate in the surveys, as their feedback will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt to better meet their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they will be able to skip the item altogether. We are not using student names so surveys will be anonymous. We are partnering with a third-party vendor to support us in administering these surveys. The survey content will ask students to self-reflect on School Climate, Teacher-Student Relationships, School Safety, and expectations. Surveys are available for preview on the district’s website. Please notify us if you would like your child to opt out of taking the surveys by contacting the school counselor, Ms. Dawkins, at (252) 462-2501 no later than November 25. Our Annual Hot Chocolate Night returns December 19, 2024. Join us for an evening of Hot Chocolate, Book Fair shopping, pictures for sale with Beary, and a performance by our Glee Club & some staff members.
