I am entering my 23rd year as a school administrator in Nash County Public Schools. I served as an Assistant Principal for four years at Southern Nash Middle School, Williford Elementary, and Benvenue Elementary. The past 18 years I have served as Principal at Braswell Elementary, Benvenue Elementary and Nashville Elementary. It is my honor to now move on to Bailey to serve as Principal of another great school within a supportive community. I am excited to bring my experience to Bailey and work alongside the great staff and families at our school. Together we will work to provide our students high-quality learning experiences as we strive to improve the academic and social outcomes for all. My name is Samantha Deans. I am the Assistant Principal at Bailey Elementary.  I have been here at Bailey for the last 7 years.  Previously, I was an elementary and middle school teacher, as well as a principal.  Altogether, I have worked in education for the past 28 years and love it!  I am also a mother of 4 boys.  My oldest has special needs and is in 3rd grade.  My youngest is currently in Kindergarten.  I love this school and the community around it.  As the AP at Bailey, my responsibilities include supporting families with transportation needs and coordinating all testing that we do on campus each year.  Working with the parents and teachers is one of the great things about my job.  I am so glad to be a part of this team!
